This year’s BEAST FEaST looks to question the idea of the modern and the futuristic, rewinding in order to fast forward, mining the world’s past for ideas for the future. Join us for three days of music, meeting, and ideas, along with featured guest artists Norah Lorway, Pete Stollery, Anothai Nitibhon, Jean- David Caillouët, Anton Lukoszevieze and Apartment House. ProgrammeMay 2ndConcert 1: 19.30 Dome Room, The Bramall Our concert opener features Norah Lorway’s game-inspired work, and premieres by guest Pete Stollery and BEAST founder Jonty Harrison. May 3rdPresentation 1: 11:00 Dome Room, The Bramall (Free) Talks by festival artists. Concert 2: 13:10 Barber Concert Hall, The Barber Institute of Fine Arts (Free) The internationally recognised Apartment House presents a new work by James Opstad alongside music by Julius Aglinskas and Lucie Vítková. Concert 3: 15:00 Dome Room, The Bramall An extended performance by The Brain Dead Ensemble. Concert 4: 19:00 Elgar Concert Hall, The Bramall Featuring work by Natasha Barrett, Fernando Lopez-Lezcano, and a world premiere by Apartment House founder Anton Lukoszevieze. Concert 5: 20:45 Elgar Concert Hall, The Bramall Includes music by featured guests Pete Stollery, Anothai Nitibhon, and Jean-David Caillouët. May 4thPresentation 2: 11:00 Dome Room, The Bramall (Free) Talks by festival artists. Concert 6: 13:00 Elgar Concert Hall, The Bramall Concert including work by Annie Mahtani, Erik Nyström and Ambrose Seddon. Presentation 3/Key note: 14:30 Dome Room, The Bramall (Free) Keynote by featured guest Anothai Nitibhon. Concert 7: 16:30 Elgar Concert Hall, The Bramall Concert including music by Nikki Sheth, Pete Stollery and Jorge Garcia. In Real Life Soft Rave: 20:00 Birmingham Open Media (Free) Soft Rave Festival closing party, with performances by Norah Lorway and Valentina Vuksic. In collaboration with BOM and their In Real Life exhibition.
